The Municipality of Piraeus has also invested in the installation of smart urban equipment, which improves citizens’ daily life and enhances the experience of visitors.

Specifically, smart benches have been installed at selected locations across the city, equipped with photovoltaic panels to cover their energy needs, while also providing free Wi-Fi access and charging points for mobile devices. In this way, citizens and visitors enjoy a more functional public space that combines relaxation with the provision of modern digital services.
