In the game, participants had the opportunity to interact both in the real world and in the digital world of Minecraft. In real-life Piraeus, the “villain” of the game moved around using a motorbike, while through GPS, the same movement was mirrored in the digital Piraeus within Minecraft. The players&nbsp;attempted&nbsp;to locate the “villain” in the Minecraft world, who left behind traces (beacons) when passing through specific locations in the real world. In this way, an interactive experience was created that combined reality with the digital gaming environment.&nbsp;</p><p>This initiative aimed to raise awareness among young people regarding crime prevention and to strengthen collective responsibility through the use of technology.&nbsp;The innovation of the game lies in the fact that it was carried out simultaneously in both the physical and digital worlds, allowing participants to experience safety and prevention in an engaging and educational way. At the same time, the emergency points network was mapped, and crowd estimation systems were installed in public spaces, supporting a better understanding of citizen mobility during crisis situations. In addition, a civil protection support application was developed, through which citizens can receive immediate alerts, be informed about risk response guidelines, and report incidents, contributing to the effective coordination of competent services and improving safety in the city.&nbsp;</p></div></div></div><ul style="margin-bottom:11px;"><li><strong>Flood early warning system&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><div style="margin-left:48px;"><div style="display:flex; justify-content:space-between; align-items:flex-start; gap:24px; margin-bottom:20px; flex-wrap:wrap;"><div style="flex:1 1 500px; min-width:300px;"><p>Within the framework of the action, an integrated flood early warning system was implemented, aiming to enhance civil protection and improve stormwater management in the Municipality of Piraeus. NB-IoT stormwater level sensors were installed at selected points of the drainage network, monitoring water levels in real&nbsp;time&nbsp;and transmitting data to a central IoT platform. Through the platform, supervision, data analysis, and the generation of alerts and reports to&nbsp;the competent&nbsp;services are enabled, allowing the immediate detection of potential risks of overflow or overload of drainage infrastructure. The platform was developed using modern technologies to ensure accessibility via computers and mobile devices and provides tools for posting listings, searching for items, user communication, and transaction evaluation. At the same time, features such as personalized recommendations, statistical reports, and promotional tools were integrated, enabling effective content management and active citizen participation. The role of this center includes real-time monitoring of the city through smart infrastructures, aiming to minimize the time&nbsp;required&nbsp;to detect issues and&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;the coordination of their resolution.&nbsp;</p><p>For this purpose, a dedicated space was configured, capable of hosting a critical number of operators, providing them with&nbsp;appropriate working&nbsp;conditions, as well as interfaces and telecommunication tools for the application of Human Intelligence (HI) in city management.&nbsp;</p><p>The space is equipped with communication, supervision, and control systems for the city’s smart ecosystem, display equipment (e.g.&nbsp;screens, video walls), and monitoring equipment (e.g.&nbsp;workstations). In addition, network access has been provided to smart city infrastructures and the telephone network, as well as satellite internet connectivity, in case terrestrial communications encounter disruptions. Its&nbsp;objective&nbsp;is to minimize the time&nbsp;required&nbsp;to detect issues and&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;the coordination of their resolution, specifically in crisis situations. In addition, it provides capabilities for modeling, analysis, and management of all operational plans, full&nbsp;parameterization&nbsp;and integration of operational requirements, as well as the simulation of potential incidents and&nbsp;subsequent&nbsp;actions, and the development and execution of specific simulation scenarios. It includes a unified database for the storage and management of all operational plans.&nbsp;</p><p paraeid="{5ac48db4-8bd9-441c-9eb6-4c39f5aa7df8}{236}" paraid="1398030229">Operational manuals for both the Operation and Coordination Center and the Disaster Recovery Site were developed. Their&nbsp;objective&nbsp;is the full documentation of operational procedures, both during normal operations and in times of crisis or disaster. These include detailed activation procedures, team&nbsp;structures&nbsp;and staffing requirements, as well as clearly defined roles and responsibilities of all involved parties. They&nbsp;constitute&nbsp;a key tool for supporting operational readiness and coordination of actions,&nbsp;in accordance with&nbsp;the established plans and organizational requirements.&nbsp;</p><p paraeid="{5ac48db4-8bd9-441c-9eb6-4c39f5aa7df8}{246}" paraid="1335538666">Pilot evacuation plans were prepared for sixty (60) Primary and Secondary Education facilities. For each school unit, the plans&nbsp;include:&nbsp;documentation of the existing situation, analysis of the specific requirements of each structure, definition of evacuation procedures, and the establishment of an Evacuation Coordination Team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, among others. <p><b>Μια νέα εποχή για την παραλία της Φρεαττύδας σηματοδοτεί η ολοκλήρωση των εργασιών αναβάθμισης από τον Δήμο Πειραιά, οι οποίες αναμορφώνουν έναν από τους πιο αγαπημένους παραθαλάσσιους προορισμούς της πόλης, προσφέροντας ένα σύγχρονο, ασφαλές και φιλόξενο περιβάλλον για κατοίκους, επισκέπτες και τουρίστες.</b></p><p><a href="https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3335-1.jpg" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-97337" src="https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3335-1-300x200.jpg" alt="4C5A3335 (1)" width="300" height="200" srcset="https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3335-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3335-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3335-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3335-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3335-1-2048x1366.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /></a>Σε συνέχεια της ευρείας ανάπλασης της παραλίας Βοτσαλάκια και με στόχο τη βελτίωση της καθημερινής εμπειρίας των λουόμενων και την αναβάθμιση της ποιότητας του δημόσιου χώρου, ο Δήμος Πειραιά προχώρησε σε ένα ολοκληρωμένο πρόγραμμα ήπιων παρεμβάσεων που αναδεικνύει τη Φρεαττύδα σε έναν χώρο αναψυχής, άθλησης και ξεκούρασης, αντάξιο των αναγκών μιας σύγχρονης παραθαλάσσιας πόλης.</p><p>Το έργο υλοποιήθηκε σε συνεργασία των Υπηρεσιών Επισκευών, Συντηρήσεων και Έργων Αυτεπιστασίας, Περιβάλλοντος και Καθαριότητας του Δήμου Πειραιά, ενώ με την ολοκλήρωση των παρεμβάσεων, την παραλία επισκέφθηκαν ο Δήμαρχος Πειραιά Γιάννης Μώραλης, οι Αντιδήμαρχοι Χαράλαμπος Λιακόσταυρος και Νικήτας Γκόλφης και ο Πρόεδρος της Α΄ Δημοτικής Κοινότητας Δημήτρης Πεφάνης.</p><p>Οι εργασίες περιελάμβαναν τον πλήρη καθαρισμό της ακτής από ογκώδη αντικείμενα, φερτά υλικά και μεγάλες πέτρες, καθώς και την αισθητική και περιβαλλοντική αναβάθμιση του περιβάλλοντος χώρου. Σε έκταση περίπου δύο στρεμμάτων πραγματοποιήθηκαν νέες φυτεύσεις, αναπλάσεις πρασίνου και εγκαταστάθηκε αυτόματο σύστημα άρδευσης, δημιουργώντας ένα πιο ευχάριστο και λειτουργικό περιβάλλον.</p><p>Παράλληλα, ενισχύθηκαν σημαντικά οι υποδομές της παραλίας με την τοποθέτηση 20 νέων ομπρελών, ντουζιέρων, αλλαξιέρων και διαδρόμου πρόσβασης, ενώ δημιουργήθηκε χώρος με υπαίθρια όργανα άθλησης, προσφέροντας περισσότερες δυνατότητες άσκησης και αναψυχής δίπλα στη θάλασσα.</p><p><a href="https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3302.jpg" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-97336" src="https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3302-300x200.jpg" alt="seatrac-freattyda" width="300" height="200" srcset="https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3302-300x200.jpg 300w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3302-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3302-768x512.jpg 768w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3302-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/4C5A3302-2048x1366.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /></a>Ιδιαίτερη βαρύτητα δόθηκε στην προσβασιμότητα και την ασφαλή χρήση της παραλίας από όλους τους πολίτες. Για ακόμη μία θερινή περίοδο λειτουργεί το αναβαθμισμένο σύστημα <strong>Sea Track</strong>, το οποίο, πέρα από την αυτόνομη πρόσβαση των ατόμων με αναπηρία στη θάλασσα, διαθέτει πλέον ειδικά διαμορφωμένο σταθμό ξεκούρασης με ομπρέλες για την άνετη παραμονή των χρηστών και των συνοδών τους. Παράλληλα, δημιουργήθηκαν ειδικές τουαλέτες και αλλαξιέρες για άτομα με αναπηρία, ενισχύοντας ακόμη περισσότερο την προσβασιμότητα και τη λειτουργικότητα της παραλίας.</p><p>Στην ασφάλεια των λουόμενων συμβάλλει και η παρουσία ναυαγοσώστη καθ&#8217; όλη τη διάρκεια της θερινής περιόδου, προσφέροντας στους επισκέπτες τη δυνατότητα να απολαμβάνουν το μπάνιο τους με μεγαλύτερη ασφάλεια.</p><p><b>Ο Δήμαρχος Πειραιά Γιάννης Μώραλης, δήλωσε:</b></p><p><strong><a href="https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/1225.jpg" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-97335" src="https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/1225-300x225.jpg" alt="1225" width="300" height="225" srcset="https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/1225-300x225.jpg 300w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/1225-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/1225-768x576.jpg 768w, https://piraeus.gov.gr/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/1225.jpg 1280w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /></a>«</strong>Ο Δήμος συνεχίζει με συνέπεια να αναβαθμίζει το παραλιακό μέτωπο, δημιουργώντας σύγχρονους, ασφαλείς και προσβάσιμους χώρους αναψυχής που βελτιώνουν την καθημερινότητα των πολιτών και ενισχύουν την ελκυστικότητα του Πειραιά ως παραθαλάσσιου προορισμού. Η ολοκλήρωση των εργασιών στη Φρεαττύδα αποτελεί ένα ακόμη σημαντικό βήμα προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση, καθώς ένας από τους πιο αγαπημένους χώρους της πόλης μας αποκτά πλέον τις υποδομές που ανταποκρίνονται στις σύγχρονες ανάγκες. Με τη συγκεκριμένη, ήπια παρέμβαση βελτιώσαμε ουσιαστικά την εικόνα και τη λειτουργικότητα της παραλίας, ενισχύοντας το πράσινο, δημιουργώντας νέες υποδομές για τους λουόμενους, βελτιώνοντας την προσβασιμότητα και δίνοντας τη δυνατότητα σε όλους τους πολίτες, χωρίς εξαιρέσεις, να απολαμβάνουν τη θάλασσα με ασφάλεια και άνεση.  Ωστόσο, δεν μπορούμε να αγνοήσουμε ένα γεγονός που μας προβληματίζει ιδιαίτερα. Μόλις τις πρώτες ημέρες μετά την ολοκλήρωση των εργασιών, σημειώθηκαν περιστατικά βανδαλισμών στις νέες υποδομές της παραλίας. Είναι απογοητευτικό έργα που δημιουργήθηκαν με δημόσιους πόρους και με στόχο να εξυπηρετούν τους πολίτες να υφίστανται ζημιές πριν ακόμη προλάβουν να αποδοθούν πλήρως στην κοινωνία. Ο δημόσιος χώρος είναι η κοινή μας περιουσία. Η προστασία του δεν είναι μόνο ευθύνη του δήμου, αλλά υπόθεση όλων μας. Καλούμε τους πολίτες να αγκαλιάσουν αυτές τις παρεμβάσεις, να προστατεύσουν τις υποδομές που δημιουργούνται και να συμβάλουν ώστε οι παραλίες και οι δημόσιοι χώροι του Πειραιά να παραμένουν καθαροί, ασφαλείς και προσβάσιμοι για όλους.
